PRESTAMOS SUCCESS STORIES
THE NEW PICKLE HOUSE
-CPLC Pickle House Makerspace Business Incubator
Great news are coming for all the valley's entrepreneurs. Prestamos just help with some of the financing of a big Chicanos Por La Causa project. CPLC along with the help of a federal grant and Prestamos just bought Arnold's Pickle House in downtown Phoenix. The idea behind the purchase is in order to bring to the valley a 200-job incubator along with manufacturing equipment, including a high tech 3D printer. The incubator will be called the CPLC Pickle House Makerspace Business Incubator, and it will emphasize its efforts in allowing new entrepreneurs to come and work on ideas, new products and prototypes for the market.

"The idea is to create new businesses here. It will give entrepreneurs the opportunity to test their products, do a prototype, and try to sell it," David Adame

The Pickle House, which is at 14th and Van Buren streets, will focus on four strategies:

• Manufacturing incubation and innovation, using high-tech tools, including 3-D printers, to cost effectively make prototypes and products
• Access to capital, including unconventional loans
• A business enterprise to develop opportunities for small business ventures
• Workforce development to train skilled labor

"The incubator will transform the building into a key hub where the spirit of entrepreneurship will flourish and reach new heights" said Edmundo Hidalgo, CPLC president and CEO.
